Copper Foiling Starter Kit
All the tools and materials required to begin stained glass making using the copper foiling (Tiffany) technique, just add the glass of your choice! As well as the Soldering Iron of your choice the copper foiling kit contains:
- Toyo Super Cutter
- Standard Grozing Pliers
- Safety Glasses
- Glass Marker Pen - Black
- 5 sticks of K Grade Solder
- Small 12" (305mm) Cutting Square
- All Nova/Fid
- 1/4" Copper Foil Roll
- Flux Brush
- Copper wire
- Novacan Black Patina 8oz (237ml)
- Novacan Chemical Flux for Copper Foiling 8oz (237ml)
- A4 cutting mat
- 2 pieces of free cutting Practice Glass 3mm

We use quality materials, Edco Copper Foil and Full Size Novacan brand chemicals in our kit and do not provide substandard beginners versions. We want to ensure that you are happy with your purchase and go on to make lots of stained glass!
The Hakko iron allows you to control the temperature and can be adjusted on the handle, it is light weight an very reliable. This reduces the tendency to melt the lead came if you progress from foil to leaded work. The iron can be turned down to prevent the lead came melting or turned up hotter if you find the solder isnt flowing fast enough for your technique. Or where you are using the iron more, for example when copper foiling which uses long solder joints. We recommend setting your Hakko at 410 or higher for foil work.

Great way to ignite a new passion
By Eimante RukaiteI have looked at quite a few starter kits out there, but this one is hands down the best one. I love the fact that you can customise it and add the highest quality items to it. This means you buy the kit once and keep adding to it rather than replace items as you go.
I recommended adding a Toyo cutter and Hakko soldering iron as you will want to buy those bits eventually.

Copper Foil Starter Kit
By Tamara LyonsOrdered the kit on a Saturday and was happily setting up and pouring over the manuals and super informative booklet by Wednesday! Couldn’t believe how quickly it arrived and how well packed everything was and wow! What a great set of bits to get me started! I went for the Hakko and the Grinder 2 and I’m in love! Even with the customs cost into Ireland, this was well worth it!
