Debitus Glass Paint - Carmin
Made in collaboration with the Research Laboratory of the Historic Monument Department of French Government.
Grisaille is one of the oldest and most widely used vitreous paint applied for the production of stained glass panels and Debitus is one of the most renowned brands whose grisailles are frequently used in stained-glass window restoration.
According to its use, you can get opaque effects or a transparent effect.
Application :
Distilled water and gum arabic or any other medium used.
Vinegar is not advised.
Firing :
Minimum 620°C to 750°C or more, depending on the colour.
For best results, leave it an hour at firing temperature.
Aspect :
After firing, it has a matt or satin appearance, or gloss if fired at high temperature.
The grisaille colour remains the same before and after firing
