Fused Glass Christmas Decorations Day
We offer a festive fusing course for you to come and make kiln fired tree decorations and a stand-up Christmas scene to put up for the Christmas season!
What does the course cover?
You will cut glass and experiment with frit and stringers to create a range of Christmas pieces such as snowmen and Christmas trees. You will be taught the fusing process, so this course is ideal for beginners and improvers who want a creative, festive day out!
You will learn which types of fusing glass and embellishments are compatible and then create your designs. These will incorporate hanging loops in order for you to display them when they are finished. You will be encouraged to try some practical experiments and will benefit from the technical information and supervision provided by your tutor. You will also have the opportunity to design and create a Christmassy scene which will be slumped into a stand-up piece!
Your pieces will be fired overnight in one of our kilns and posted out to you after the course at no extra cost.
We offer a 10% shop discount for students while on the course (this excludes kilns, power tools and sale items).
What do you need to bring?
Just bring yourself, your enthusiasm and a pair of closed-toed shoes. All of your materials and tools will be provided.
Lunch:
We will provide a delicious cold lunch as well as light refreshments throughout the day. Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements. We will do our best to cater to everyone but this cannot always be guaranteed.
What are the course times?
The course starts at 10am and runs until approximately 4pm. There is a chance that it may overrun depending on progress.
Accessibility:
We will try to make our courses accessible to all however if you have any disabilities or physical limitations of any kind we ask that you discuss it with us before booking.
Cancellations:
Our normal cancellation policy is as follows:
For cancellations made 4 weeks in advance we offer a full refund or one free date change. For cancellations made 3 weeks in advance we offer a 75% refund or one free date change. For cancellations made 2 weeks in advance we can only offer a 50% refund. If we receive less than 2 weeks’ notice we are unable to offer a refund or date change on course places. If a date change has been requested we cannot offer a refund on a subsequent cancellation.
Covid-19 Cancellations Policy:
We are offering a Covid-19 Cancellation guarantee that any booking for a class affected by Covid-19 lockdowns or restrictions can be postponed for any date through to September 2022. In the event that a student has to self-isloate as a result of exposure to or contracting Covid 19, or at the request of Track and Trace, we will honour a date change for the class booking.
Please do not attend the course if you display any COVID-19 symptoms which include; A high temperature, loss of taste and/or smell or a new and continuous cough.

A Fantastic Day!
By Catherine HowardThis was the most fantabulous day! There is no limit on the number of decorations you can make - except for the time. This is great for complete beginners as glass cutting skills are taught and then there are samples and a 'mood board' to get your creativity flowing. Part way through we found out that it was EJ's first time teaching, and none of us would have guessed it - she was helpful, friendly, informative, got everything we needed and was totally unflappable. Nothing was too much trouble. The lunch was plentiful and tasty. £125 is a real value for money price. I also have discounts on other courses and materials. I loved it.

Brilliant!
