This sixth edition has been completely updated with the most current supplies and suppliers, as well as additional works of the author. So glad it came back in stock!
    By Kate Lavender

I’ve just bought a kiln to progress my stained glassing, and was really excited to develop my painting skills to use traditional techniques, but had no idea where to start. I’d watched a few YouTube tutorials and really wanted to attend an in-person course, but didn’t have the funds right away.

This book was recommended by every tutor as the bible of glass painting, but was out of stock everywhere and pre-loved copies go for silly money, so used the CGG ‘back in stock’ email alert system and grabbed one the minute it came back in.
Great reference guide / resource - lots of detail and runs through not only techniques, but the rationale and history behind them. Very thorough, discussing more creative approaches to mark-making, and still relevant despite being originally published on the 80s.

    Recommended for good reason
    By Pj Eames

Have been recommended this book several times but hadn't found a second hand copy at an affordable price.
Delighted to find it in reprint via Creative Glass Guild.
Well presented, detailed guide to tools and paint techniques including helpful photos and some encouragement to experiment - surprisingly even finger painting included.
A real feeling of connecting with the history of glass painting and a useful supplement to lessons and workshops with modern masters of the art.
